Program

DAY 01

Upon arrival at Kolkata Airport, get transferred to Baripada. Check in to your stay at the Royal Palace with a regal welcome, where tradition greets you with a Kalinga Swagatam — chandan tilak, fresh flower garlands, and a refreshing bael sharbat, marking the start of a spiritual and cultural escape. Relax for a while and head for Lunch where you get to devour a traditional Odia Thali. In the evening, experience the Kalinga Mahal Parikrama, a guided tour of the palace that concludes with the divine Sandhya Aarti at Ma Mangla Temple, evoking a sense of sacred tranquility. Later in the evening witness Chhau Nrutya Mahotsav, where the vibrant and martial grace of Odisha’s traditional Chhau dance comes alive against the backdrop of palace serenity. DAY 02

Today morning post a traditional breakfast, venture to the Baripada Jagannath Temple to witness the Pahandi Bije, the ceremonial procession where Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra are carried out in rhythmic splendor. In the afternoon, enjoy an exclusive audience for the royal ritual of Chhera Pahanra, where the Maharaja of Mayurbhanj sweeps the chariots in an act of divine humility — a rare privilege connecting you to a 400-year-old tradition. As evening sets in, another Chhau Dance performance enchants your senses, preparing you for the Maharaja Bhojan — a grand royal dinner that celebrates the opulence of Kalinga’s culinary legacy, blending flavours of land and sea in rich harmony. DAY 03

Today enjoy a leisurely morning and breakfast. In the afternoon indulge in Temple Bhog Bhojan lunch at the Paisley Room. Later head to witness the Rath Yatra, where the chariot of Lord Balram journeys toward the Mausi Temple and Subhadra’s chariot is pulled halfway exclusively by women, a powerful and unique tradition of Baripada. The day ends with Sangeeta Sandhya, an evening of soulful Hindustani classical music, followed by a royal dinner. Overnight stay in Baripada.

DAY 04

Today morning have breakfast at the palace. The morning is at leisure. For lunch relish upon Odia-inspired dishes at The Barn. Post lunch head to the Rath Yatra Mahotsav to witness the climactic event where Lord Subhadra’s chariot completes its journey to Gundicha Temple, and Lord Jagannath’s chariot is pulled in full glory. Join the procession, chant with devotees, feel the rhythm of traditional drums, and engage in the immersive celebration. The day closes with a Raj Darbar Bhojan, a ceremonial feast that mirrors the magnificence of Odisha’s royal culinary heritage. Overnight stay in Baripada.

Today morning post breakfast check out from the palace. Drive towards the airport to board your departure flight.
