Welcome to Patna! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your cruise ship. Embark on your journey in the afternoon and enjoy dinner on board as you sail upstream. Overnight stay on the cruise.
Today, after breakfast on board, cruise upstream to visit the spectacular small Mughal tomb at Maner. Continue past the confluence with the River Sone to Doriganj, a busy river port. Later, moor at an overnight stop near the confluence with the River Goghra. Overnight stay on the cruise.
Cruise upstream past Ballia to Buxar, known for the historic battle of 1764 that shaped the British Raj. Visit the battlefield memorial and the old East India Company cemetery. Enjoy a short cycle rickshaw ride to explore the ghats of Buxar. Overnight stay on the cruise.
Today's journey takes you upstream past Chausa to Ghazipur, a hub for opium production. Visit the impressive tomb of Lord Cornwallis and explore the bustling Ghazipur bazaar if time permits. Overnight stay on the cruise.
Continue sailing upstream to Varanasi, one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. After lunch on board, visit the Buddhist site at Sarnath where Buddha gave his first sermon, and explore the archaeological museum. Overnight stay on the cruise in Varanasi.
This morning, sail past the ghats of Varanasi to Ramnagar. Visit the Maharaja’s Palace and museum, and then sail to Chunar to explore the Mughal Fort, British cemetery, and nearby Mughal tombs. Experience local crafts like carpet weaving and pottery. Anchor at Ramnagar for the night.
Start early with a boat ride at dawn to witness the vibrant bathing ghats of Varanasi. After breakfast, explore the bustling alleys of Varanasi. In the evening, join the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremony by rowing boat, a spiritual experience amidst chanting and lamp offerings. Return to the ship anchored at Rajghat.
After breakfast, disembark and transfer to Varanasi airport for your departure flight.
