Gujarat's Regal Heritage Expedition

Upon Arrival in Ahmedabad, get transferred to your heritage hotel, later we drive to visit Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, Hutheesingh Jain Temple which is the best known of Ahmedabad’s many ornate Jain temples later head towards Gandhi Ashram which was Gandhi ji’s Satyagrah Ashram and for many years it was the nerve center of India's freedom movement. It was from here, in 1930, that Mahatma began his famous Dandi March to the sea to protest the Salt Tax imposed by the British. Adalaj's step-well was built in olden times which was served as water storage, community gathering spots, and irrigation sources. Later in the evening visit the street market of handicrafts at Law Garden. Head back to the hotel at night. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

Today morning after breakfast proceedsfor a day excursion, first visit Patan which has a rich & ancient heritage in fine textiles. (Double Ikat) Patola from the area of Patan with its unique gem-like qualities, gorgeous colors, designs & durability. Later visit the Rani ki Vav (Step well). This world heritage site was built by Queen Udaymati the wife of Bhimdev during the 11-12" Century. It is the most magnificent and spectacular step well and the best example of such architecture for water wells. Later heads towards Modhera Sun Temple which dates back to early 11" century CE and was built by King Bhimdev 1 in 1026 CE. The temple at Modhera is the most important of all sun temples built in the whole of Gujarat and is dedicated to the Sun God. Later at night head for an authentic Gujarati dinner experience, and indulge in homely food served on a tree leaf at a place where there are no closed rooms or halls cozied within a lush green cover. After dinner, take a walk around the inhouse Utensil Museum of the restaurant which makes one's heart skip a beat, marveling at the inimitable beauty of these utensils of old. Over the years, these utensils have been handed down through the changing seasons and times. Head back to the Hotel. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

Today after morning check out from the hotel and drive to Santrampur. En route visit a Dinosaur fossil park at Balasinor and the Dinosaur Museum displays details on Dinosaurs of India and Gujarat, Fossil Exhibits, and many other features that will bring out the child in you. After reaching Santrampur, check in to your Heritage Hotel. Later take a stroll through the small town of Sant to see the majestic Raj Mahal and the Hawa Mahal, as well as ancient Hindu temples dating from the 11th to the 14" century. Take a walk across the lake or in the neighboring forest and explore the local flora and fauna Visit tribal homes and farms to experience the local culture. Head back to the hotel at night. Overnight stay in Santrampur.

After breakfast check out and drive towards Jambughoda. En route visit Champaner City a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Explore Jama Masjid, for its impressive interior courtyard, its porches, beautiful arches, and slender minarets. And Shahr Masjid, with its row of columns, domes, and delicate mihrab (niche facing Mecca), and Nagina Masjid with a charming porch. Then head towards Pavagadh where the oldest temple of Mahakali is situated. Drive towards Jambughoda and check in to your Heritage Hotel. Evening is at leisure. Overnight stay in Jambughoda.

Today morning after breakfast head for a Full-day excursion to Chhota Udepur which is in proximity to various hamlets of Bhils, Rathwas, Bhilalas, and other tribes. The tribal folks can be spotted sporting colorful attires and chunky jewelry. A tour of the tribal village and hamlets will offer an insight into the traditional architecture, lifestyle & handicrafts of each aboriginal community. Later in the evening drive back to Jambhughoda. Overnight stay in Jambughoda.

Today after breakfast we check out from the hotel and drive towards Vadodara. Upon arrival at Vadodara, check in at the heritage hotel. Relax for a bit and later visit Laxmi Villas Palace which is a residence of the royal family. Its, ornate Darbar Hall has an Italian mosaic floor and walls with mosaic decorations. The Palace houses a remarkable collection of old armory and sculptures in bronze, marble, and terracotta. Later visit Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum. The museum is noted for its modern display. The collection includes a few copies of Greek, Roman, and later European sculpture and some Masterpieces of European oil paintings, sculptures by Felici, and French furniture. Later head to Tambekarwada which is located near Raopura Area and it's a 4-storey haveli was the residence of Diwan of Vadodara. This is famous for its wall paintings from the 19th century Maratha tradition depicting scenes from the Mahabharata, lord Krishna's life, and the Anglo-Maratha war. Overnight stay in Vadodara.

Today after breakfast we drive to Bhavnagar. En route visit Lothal, the perfect place to get an insight of the Indus Valley civilization. The most dominating site at Lothal is the massive dockyard spanning an area of 37 meters by 22 meters perhaps the greatest work of Maritime Architecture. Lothal was also famous for its arterial streets, microbes of gold, and ivory, coppersmiths' workshops, potteries, and underground sanitary drainage. Then drive towards Dared village and check in to your heritage hotel. Later attend a village tour to witness skilled artisans polishing diamonds at a Diamond Polishing Workshop. After the diamond polishing workshop, we will take a leisurely 5–7-minute stroll to visit the Maldhari houses, where we will get to observe the cow milking process and other cattle care activities. We will then proceed to the Mahadev temple, situated on the banks of the picturesque river Ghelo, to offer our prayers and then experience bird watching at the banks of river Ghelo. The stunning views and the serene atmosphere will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression. Next, we will visit the memorial of the Royal Family of the Gohil Clan, an important historical landmark in the village. This visit will provide us with a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the region. We will then take a walk through the local village market, where we will witness the making of local Sanedo (a farm vehicle) and explore the vibrant and colorful market of Dared. Finally, we will visit the Shreenathji Temple to attend the evening Aarti, a religious ritual that is sure to leave a deep spiritual impact. Head back to the hotel at night. Overnight stay in Dared.

Early morning after breakfast proceed to Palitana to climb the Shetrunjaya hills visiting a beautiful cluster of 863 Jain temples & later in the afternoon we drive to Gondal. The 11-gun salute princely state of Gondal spanned an area of about 1000 sq miles comprising four towns and more than 175 villages. The state was ruled by a dynasty of the Krishna-vanish Jadeja Rajput clan from Thakur Shri Kumboji in the 1600s. Visit Swaminarayan temple, Naulakha palace, Royal Garages & Bhubaneshwar Ayurveda Pharmacy. Check in to your heritage hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Gondal.

Today after breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Muli. Check in to your heritage hotel and start exploring the city by visiting the two oldest Swaminarayan temples in the world, then visit Mandavrai Sun temple and wooden haveli. Later visit the step-well & tie & dye workshop in Gautamgadh. Later in the evening head back to the hotel. Overnight stay in Muli.

After breakfast drive to Ahmedabad, and transfer to Ahmedabad Airport for your departure flight.
